I'm a wrinkle free nurse practitioner – six foods I eat on a daily basis to prevent aging and make your skin glow | The Sun
A BEAUTY guru has revealed the foods that she eats daily to keep her skin healthy and glowing.
She claimed to follow a diet that is beneficial for increased hydration and delaying the signs of aging on the skin.
Miranda Wilson (@np.miranda) boasts over 192,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares skincare advice.
The aesthetic nurse practitioner took to the social media platform to list the foods that she eats daily to maintain her youthful appearance.
She said: “This my tried and true avocados.
"Those of you who are allergic to avocados I will say a prayer for you because I am so sorry, you are missing out.”
UCLA Health recently conducted a study in which the participants had visibly improved elasticity and firmness in their skin after eating avocados daily for just eight weeks.
Miranda continued: “Those who follow me know I eat Brazillian nuts but that’s not the only nut I eat on a daily basis.
“I also eat walnuts. These bad boys are considered the healthiest nut to eat.
“It’s associated with increased hydration, prevention of aging and it can also help to get rid of dark circles.”

Eating a handful of the nuts, she continued: “We’re going to go in the fridge and grab some salmon.
“The healthy fats in it will support scalp and skin health.
"I bake my salmon or I will do a smoked salmon on toast with a bit of dairy-free cream cheese.
“Next we have not everyone’s favorite, the bell pepper.
“I get it, they’re not that good but I will literally force myself to eat anything that’s good for my skin.
“These orange bell peppers have the highest levels of beta-carotene.
“Beta-carotene gives your skin that natural glow and also prevents it from free radicals, free radicals cause your skin to age.”
Miranda’s claim comes after research published in Medical News Today explained that orange and red peppers get their color from beta-carotene.
The antioxidant protects the body from free radicals and has been proven to lower the risk of developing chronic illness when consumed at least four times a day.
Miranda said: “Now, I don’t care how much broccoli will stink up the house when you cook it. I will eat this on a daily.
“Broccoli has the highest content of sulforaphane which helps protect against DNA damage and also prevent what? Inflammaging.
“It’s also found in a bunch of cruciferous vegetables like Brussels sprouts, arugula, kale, and dark leafy greens.
“And last but definitely not least I can’t go one day without having dark chocolate.
“The fact that it’s good for your skin just makes me feel less guilty about eating it every day.
“I don’t eat the sugary kind of dark chocolate.”
Miranda revealed that she buys her dark chocolate from Hu despite the brand being expensive because it’s gluten-free and dairy-free.
Many studies have claimed dark chocolate is healthier than milk chocolate as it contains less sugar and has more nutritional benefits.
A study by Barry Callebaut found that chocolate rich in flavanols can help prevent wrinkles while boosting skin elasticity.
