I bought Iceland's bargain Christmas dinner deal & it fed my family-of-five TWICE – we even had two desserts | The Sun

FROM the pigs in blankets to the turkey and stuffing, Christmas dinner can often end up costing a small fortune.

But one savvy woman has set out to prove how that doesn't always have to be the case as she snapped up Iceland's £12 roast dinner deal, which includes one main and three sides for £12.

In the clip posted to TikTok (@laurenrollsxx), Lauren goes on to explain how she bought the deal twice, giving her more options.

"So firstly, I got a gammon joint, some mashed potato, stuffing balls and cauliflower cheese," she says.

"And the second, I got a chicken crown, roasties, apple crumble and jam roly-poly."

Lauren went on to say how she also added on large Yorkshires for £2, bringing the deal from £24 to £26.

"And then I just had garden peas in my cupboard, a tin of peas and carrots and another tin of carrots – but they are from Asda, I think they're like 20p," she says,

Alongside the post, she penned: "So this is the iceland deal all cooked, £26 and I added peas & carrots which were already in my cupboard.

"Yes its all frozen and not fresh, but my idea was that I wanted to show people that are not able to stand in the kitchen cooking all day, people that cant cook, people who are alone at Christmas and want something easy or families who want something simple in general.

"It took around 2 hours to cook, all tasted lovely and it fed my family of 5 washed down with 2 stunning desserts."
