Moment Hamas troops carrying RPGs wiped out by Israel in Gaza street battle

Airstrike eliminates group of Hamas operatives in Gaza, says IDF

The IDF released footage on Thursday of Hamas operatives being targeted and killed by an Israeli airstrike.

The video shows Israel’s Border Defense Corps’ 636th Combat Intelligence Collection unit identifying Hamas troops armed with RPGs.

The Hamas militants were approaching troops of Israel’s Golani Infantry Brigade in the northern Gaza Strip, where they opened fire.

The IDF called in an airstrike, effectively killing all members of the cell.

This comes after the IDF uncovered Hamas’ “largest stockpile of weapons” in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday near a school and clinic, according to the Israeli military.

Israeli forces seized hundreds of missiles, launchers, long-range rockets, RPGs, drones, and explosive devices.

A video posted to the IDF’s social media shows Israeli soldiers loading the missiles onto trucks and inspecting rows of weapons lined up on a tarp.

The IDF wrote in a post on X: “This is further proof of the cynical use that the terrorist organization Hamas makes of the residents of the Gaza Strip as a human shield.”

New footage shared from Gaza also purportedly shows Hamas’ underground tunnel system flooded with water after reports that Israel could try and flood vital command centers.

Earlier this week, US officials told the Wall Street Journal that the IDF hoped to destroy Hamas’ tunnels by sending in water from the Mediterranean Sea.

Reports claimed that Israel had assembled as least five pumps capable of sending hundreds of thousands of liters of water into the underground system every hour.

Israel has ramped up its attacks on Hamas since the pause in fighting ended, saying the IDF has struck “approximately 250 terror targets in the Gaza Strip” this week.

The IDF said: “IDF troops are continuing to locate weapons, underground shafts, explosives and additional military infrastructure, and direct fighter jets to strike terror targets.”
