Vanessa Feltz’s daughter ‘shed a tear’ as she hopes mum can find love

GMB: Vanessa Feltz’s daughter shed tear over Celebs Go Dating

Vanessa Feltz confessed her daughter got slightly emotional during her time on the E4 show, Celebs Go Dating.

Currently, the TalkTV host is one of the stars taking part in this year’s line-up alongside the likes of Chloe Burrows, Mark Francis and Adam Collard.

Speaking about her time on the dating series on Good Morning Britain with Ed Balls and Ranvir Singh, the 61-year-old touched on the end of her 16-year relationship.

With Davina McCall’s new ITV show My Mum, Your Dad starting this week, the presenters were keen to get her thoughts on the concept.

Ed asked: “It’s like Celebs go Dating but the extra dimension is that the kids of the people dating are watching in the studio and commenting.

“What do you think your daughters would be saying if they were on camera, commenting on your dating life?”

Admitting she believes the show is a great idea, Vannessa revealed her daughter Saskia did make an appearance on Celebs Go Dating.

Vanessa said: “She’s like, ‘Mum, don’t take it so seriously, it’s going to be fine’.

“Then suddenly a little tear trickled down her cheek, my Saskia. I think she just felt- she just wants me to be happy.

“That’s all anyone wants. I think it’s a brilliant concept, My Mum, Your Dad. If they want to sign up my girls to sort me out maybe they should.”

Earlier on in the interview, Ranvir complimented the way Vanessa looked as she joked it was down to the “broken heart diet”.

Aware of Vanessa’s history with weight and food, Ranvir asked: “What’s changed in your mind around food? Because your mindset has fundamentally changed?”

She said: “That minor issue of having a gastric bypass definitely helps which I’ve had, it’s highly documented and I’ve given a million interviews about that and everything else in my life.

“The other thing is when a relationship breaks up and you really are heartbroken and mine was 16 and a half years, a long, long time.

“Suddenly I suppose your appetite for trying to console yourself with a piece of cake is not going to work out is it? So I haven’t bothered I think this time.”

Earlier this year, it was revealed Vanessa had ended her relationship after finding out Ben had allegedly been unfaithful multiple times throughout their relationship.

However, that hasn’t stopped her from wanting to find love again viewers can watch her dates unfold on the E4 show.
