Big Brother: Kerry gets upset after argument with Farida
ITV has reportedly launched a “review” after Big Brother housemate Kerry used the word “gay” during Sunday night’s livestream.
The 40-year-old from Essex has been slammed by viewers for using the word in a “problematic manner.”
During Sunday’s recap of the livestream, Kerry noticed that her bed mattress had been removed in a prank played by her housemates.
Visibly annoyed and upset, Kerry expressed: “Well, this is gay.”
Many Big Brother watchers have called for her removal, whilst others are suggesting that Kerry should be educated.

Posting on X, formally known as Twitter, one person reacted: “I hope they don’t start removing people. Call her out. Educate her. Educate the audience.”
A second viewer agreed and said: “Yeah it’s a very ignorant thing to say, but it’s not punishable. Maybe a warning from production at most, but there’s far worse things she could’ve said.”
A third chimed in: “It had no bad intentions or directed at a specific person to cause offence so speaking to her to make her aware of it is enough.”
A fourth also penned: “Based on how she used it I don’t think she should be removed. A warning would be best.”

A spokesperson from ITV told Express.co.uk: “Kerry was brought to the diary room to discuss her inappropriate use of language.
“Big Brother reminded Kerry of her respect and inclusion training prior to entering the House and the consequences of any further use of offensive language. Kerry understood and apologised for any offence caused.”
The next eviction will take place this Friday – but will Kerry be safe from eviction?
Big Brother airs every day on ITV2 at 9pm and on ITVX.
