Peter Andre and son Junior hit back over ‘nepo baby’ claims as teen releases new single | The Sun

JUNIOR Andre has hit back at "nepo baby" claims after releasing his second single.

The 18-year-old is following in his pop star dad Peter Andre's footsteps by pursuing a career in music.

But he's faced some criticism because of his famous father and former glamour model mum Katie Price.

However Junior has insisted his success is down to talent.

He said: "If you’re not good at what you do, you won’t succeed, and I’m already succeeding."

Speaking to OK! Magazine, the teen added: "I don’t think it matters what family you’re born into, if you’ve got talent, you’ll do well. I’ll tell the haters to watch this space."

Pete, 50, has also spoken out in defence of his son.

The Mysterious Girl hitmaker also shares daughter Princess, 16, with ex-wife Katie and is dad to Amelia, nine, and six-year-old Theo with wife Emily MacDonagh.

Writing in his column for new! magazine, he said: "It's interesting to read the term 'nepo baby' – doing something similar to your parents or being helped by them in your career.

"It was once usual for people to pass on a job to their children. Even now Theo says he hopes to be a doctor, like Emily.

Pete added: "But even if an opportunity does present itself, you still need to work damned hard – and be good at it."

Junior's latest track was received well by fans and hit number one on the iTunes chart just hours after dropping.
