Eamonn Holmes ‘can’t walk’ and says he’s ‘not good’ in worrying health update
GB News presenterEamonn Holmeshas spoken today (September 4) about his health issues while presenting his programme.
Opening up about his health, he said to guest Tim Franklin: "I can't run, I can't walk, I can't do anything except watch TV and eat.
"I just got problems last year in my back, which I haven't recovered from. It's not good, it's not a good recipe I have to say. You are a good motivation for all of us. What would you say to people out there who just have not got that motivation?"
The 63 year old’s admission comes after his wife,Ruth Langsford, revealed that she had a chest infection andshared the method that her doctor had advised for her to get better.
Sharing a video of herself taken by Eamonn over the weekend, the 63 year old was seen inhaling hot steam.
Asking what she’s doing, her husband jokes: "Does it get rid of blackheads? Take deep breaths,” to which she responds: "Don't make me laugh, it will make me cough."
Captioning the clip, she wrote: “So day 3 of antibiotics and the doctor told me to steam twice a day… I try to do this in peace but @eamonnholmes decided to watch and offer helpful advice this morning!
"The steamer is from @beurer_official bought from @amazon if there are any other sufferers out there #chestinfectionsucks."
Loose Women host Ruth later gave an update on her illness and thanked fans for their tips on home remedies.
She wrote: "Thank you to everyone sending me home made remedies for this damn chest infection and cough….this is my amalgamation of some of them! Managed to get fresh turmeric….be VERY careful peeling it, it stains your fingers (& worktop!) bright yellow…so I wear gloves!
"I smashed it up with some fresh ginger, into a pan of simmering water…added lemon peel and one small lemon quartered, half an orange, stick of cinnamon, some cloves, honey and a dash of cayenne pepper (think I was a bit over generous with that, it’s quite spicy!)
"Lots of you suggesting apple cider vinegar but I didn’t have any so I used some Irish whiskey instead! Simmer away for 5-10 mins, strain and drink. Add honey (& more whiskey!) to taste. Thank you for all your remedies and get well wishes #chestinfection #homeremedies."
Last month, the show that the couple presented, Eamonn And Ruth: How The Other Half Lives, got cancelled after five series and a Christmas special.
Eamonn told The Sun: “Sadly, the series fell victim to the pandemic – it was just impossible to get across the world to meet very rich people – and there are no plans to revive the series now.
“But I do feel privileged to have been a part of it and to have met people in parts of the world that are no longer accessible.
“We got to spend time with some extraordinary people, including a billionaire and his wife in Ukraine and some of the richest people in Moscow.”
