I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! fans have hit out at Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly over Nigel Farage’s casting on this year’s show.
The controversial former UKIP leader has been confirmed as a contestant on the popular reality show, and many people are unhappy about it, with some normally loyal viewers claiming they won’t be tuning in this year.
As Ant and Dec shared a video of the 10 confirmed contestants, they wrote: “Here we go!!! #ImACeleb.”
They didn’t quite get the response they were hoping for though, as the responses from fans were largely negative.
One fan penned: “Always been the one reality show we watch. Not this year lads.”

Another added: “It’s going to be hard to sell the cheeky chappie lads of the people narrative now fellas. Hancock stretched the elasticity of your popularity – promoting Farage snapped it and pinged it back in your faces.” (sic)
While a third wrote: “I grew up watching all of your shows. Now, casting Nigel Farage? Nah. You’re done.”
“Switch off ITV#NigelFarage #ImACeleb,” a fourth fan complained as another shared: “#ImACeleb Think you have lost the room. The very weird little Farage man is a sure switch-off. Last year was bad enough. Think your days are numbered.” (sic)
“Nah mate. The production team have gone too far now,” one fan simply stated. (sic)

Not everyone felt the same though, with one fan replying: “Excited for this year. Loads of people I know.”
The rest of the confirmed contestants on this year’s show include YouTuber Nella Rose, This Morning’s Josie Gibson, First Dates star Fred Sirieix, Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson, Brintey Spears’ sister Jamie-Lynn Spears, food critic Grace Dent, JLS star Marvin Humes, EastEnders’ Danielle Harold, and Hollyoaks star Nick Pickard.
With the show set to return this week, could there be a noticeable drop in views over the divisive casting of Nigel?
