While the official Nintendo Black Friday sale hasn't launched yet, there are still some Nintendo Switch deals to be found, particularly on games.

At Amazon, there are some titles we've picked out that are currently on sale at their lowest-ever price. These include:

Another offer we've spotted from multiple retailers ahead of Black Friday is the Nintendo Switch Neon with Nintendo Switch Sports included for £259.99. It's not a bad deal considering it costs the same as the Nintendo Switch Neon with no games.

Will the Nintendo Switch sell out on Black Friday 2023?

If you have your heart set on a Nintendo Switch (or you're planning on buying one as a gift) it could be worth keeping an eye on stock levels of the popular console as it has sold out ahead of Christmas in the past.

That's less likely these days now that there are a few more versions of the console available, but because there are a couple of big game releases coming up (looking at you Pokemon Scarlet and Violet), maybe don't leave this purchase to the last minute to avoid disappointment.

When is Black Friday 2023?

Black Friday falls on November 24 this year, the day after Thanksgiving in the US.

In the past, it used to mean waking up at the crack of dawn to force your way through a crowded supermarket, retail park or high street store in search of a bargain.

These days, though, it's more about building a wish list and checking around all your favourite shops from the start of November as retailer creep the start of their sales further and further forward.

Is Nintendo taking part in Black Friday this year?

Nintendo has taken part in Black Friday in the past and we'd be surprised if they didn't do so again in 2023.

If you're hoping for a mega price cut on consoles, though, you might be left a little disappointed as there have only been minor discounts in the past.

You tend to find better value on games and accessories rather than in the console itself, which can be a great thing if you already own a console and want to beef up your gaming library.

When is Cyber Monday 2023?

This year Cyber Monday is on November 27, this is always the Monday straight after Black Friday.

You'll find some of the best deals on Cyber Monday, although, recently retailers have been extending sales into early December.

Cyber Monday sales are usually online only, which gives customers a final chance to bag a bargain for Christmas shopping.

When will Black Friday Nintendo Switch sales start?

Many retailers view the beginning of November as the starting gun for Black Friday sales, so if you know what you're after already, check out your favourite stores from November 1.

Although, it is worth checking to see if retailers will offer price guarantees on what you buy before the big day; it would be frustrating to snap up a deal and realise you could have gotten it cheaper by waiting a little longer!

In our experience, most November sales tend to stay the same throughout the month, but try and ensure you get a price guarantee from a retailer if you do buy before Black Friday.

What is the Nintendo Switch?

First released back in 2017, the Nintendo Switch is the latest console from Nintendo, with the OLED model of the Switch being released late in 2021.

The standard model and the OLED model can be played both as a hand-held console and as plug-in consoles that you play through your TV, whereas the Lite model only operates as a hand-held console.

The Switch boasts a host of exclusive Nintendo titles, including Mario, Pokemon and Animal Crossing. Since its release, it's been immensely popular, sometimes leading to stock shortages around key buying times, such as Christmas.

How much is the Nintendo Switch OLED?

At the time of writing, the Nintendo Switch OLED costs £288.99 and a trip to Amazon price tracker CamelCamelCamel tells us that this version of the console hasn't dipped below £284 since its release.

So, if you see a price better than that during the Black Friday sales, you've got yourself a bargain!

What's the difference between the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch Lite?

Whereas the standard Nintendo Switch can be used both at home with your TV or on the go as a portable console, the Nintendo Switch Lite is solely a handheld console.

Funnily enough, the Lite is… a bit lighter, and it also has a slightly smaller screen and smaller battery capacity.

The Lite will play any regular Switch game just as long as it supports Handheld Mode.

Is the Nintendo Switch worth buying?

The Nintendo Switch is an excellent piece of tech and one that enjoys a six-year-old reputation on the market – but whether it's worth buying depends on the sort of gaming you are planning on doing.

Given its hybrid portability, the Switch is aimed at children, families and commuters, but has plenty of appeal for traditional gamers too thanks to Nintendo's stable of exclusive game series, including Mario and Pokemon.

How much does a Nintendo Switch cost?

That depends on the model you're planning to buy. The standard, first-generation Nintendo Switch (which was released in 2017) is currently around £260 online at various retailers.

For the newer, higher-spec Nintendo Switch OLED, you can expect to pay £300 on Amazon right now. We've seen stock issues plague this updated version of the Switch since its release in October 2021, but at the time of writing, it's more or less widely available.

That being said, that could easily change during the frantic Black Friday period, so it's worth keeping an eye on retailers and their reported stock levels.

For the lighter-spec Nintendo Switch Lite, you will spend around £190 on Amazon, depending on the colour.

How to charge a Nintendo Switch controller

There are two different ways to charge a Nintendo Switch controller.

The first is by attaching them to the Joy-Con charging grip, which itself attached to the Switch dock via USB cable, which will then charge them both.

Alternatively, you can attach the controllers to the console itself and charge the controllers that way.

Does the Nintendo Switch have Bluetooth?

One irritating drawback to the by-and-large fantastic Nintendo Switch is that it doesn't come with built-in Bluetooth support.

This means you can't directly connect your Bluetooth headphones to the console – however, you can pick up a USB-C to Bluetooth adaptor, or look out for a pair of headphones that come with an adaptor included.

Can you watch movies on the Nintendo Switch?

It's not as easy to stream on the Nintendo Switch when compared to other consoles – but yes, you can use it to watch purchased TV and movies.

To do this, you'll need to sync your Google Play or iTunes accounts to the Switch to watch this content.

Can the Nintendo Switch Lite play Nintendo Switch games?

Yes, the Switch Lite can play any of the portable-compatible games you can play on the standard Switch console.

When does the Nintendo Switch Black Friday sale start?

Currently, Nintendo hasn't launched any of its Black Friday deals yet.

However, the gaming brand has confirmed that it will launch a new Nintendo Switch OLED bundle on 19 November 2023.

Plus, Nintendo recently launched a new Super Mario Party game bundle with a pair of Joy-Cons.

It is expected that Nintendo's Black Friday sale will launch on Friday, 24 November 2023.

When does the Nintendo Switch Black Friday sale end?

With the Nintendo Switch Black Friday sale expected to launch on Black Friday weekend, it is predicted that it will start on 24 November 2023, and continue until 27 November 2023, which is also known as Cyber Monday.
