The TV presenter, 78, who is this year’s oldest contestant, received a score of 28 for her cha-cha-cha.

Motsi Mabuse added: ‘Your posture, you need to work on that. But honestly, I was entertained from the first step up to the last step.’

Angela has 'a lot of potential' according to Craig Revel Horwood (high praise from him!)

Anton Du Beke added: ‘The drama, the intent, the commitment was magnificent. What I’d like you to do is work on your posture, it gets a little over the top.’

“What a way to open the show,” Shirley said.

“There’s so much good going on, well done you,” Anton said.

The dancer, 33, took to Instagram on Saturday to wish her fellow professionals and the celebrity line-up luck for Saturday’s first live show of the 2023 series.

Amy was expected to miss the new series amid her battle with breast cancer, but she has now shared her hopes that she could rejoin the show in just weeks’ time.
