The moment Jodie Kidd feels the power of millions of volts

Model Jodie Kidd has revealed some details of her upcoming wedding to her ex-royal marine fiancé Joseph Bates.

The 44-year-old mum of one got engaged to Joseph in December 2021 and is now preparing to tie the knot for the third time.

Hinting at the date and location she said: “Next year – it will definitely be next year, in hopefully the summer and Joe’s from Devon and we love Devon very much.

“I should think that’s where we will have the wedding – it’s such a pretty county, and we love it,” she intimated.

She also gave an insight into her bridesmaids confirming that she has asked her close friend Leah Wood, daughter of The Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood, to be a part of her wedding party.

Jodie and Leah have been friends since they met as teens in their early modelling days.

“100 per cent I’ve already asked her,” she told MailOnline, “and [my sister] Jemma will be my Maid of Honour.

“My other bridesmaids will be Chloe Bunn and Julia – there’s so many, hundreds. It’s all about the hen night!” she added.

Jodie split from her second husband David Blakeley in 2015 after eight months of marriage.

The pair announced their engagement in January 2014 after just two months of dating, and they went on to marry six months later.

The couple were granted a quickie divorce, which reportedly took just 45 seconds and neither of them attended the court.

Prior to the wedding she told Express.co.uk, “I didn’t think I was going to get married again but David has reaffirmed how I feel about marriage. I understand how important it is for your family.”

Prior to this, she was married to internet entrepreneur Aidan Butler but the pair went their separate ways after 18 months in 2007.

In 2014 she spoke to Express.co.uk about that union saying: “I was 26 and it was all very romantic but I was just a bit young,” she says.

“It was a brilliant day and we’re still good friends but it wasn’t quite right. We did try, though.”
