The UK is set to be set to be thrashed by four separate storms – just days after Storm Ciarán wreaked havoc across the country.
Much of this week and the weekend could see torrential rain and gale-force winds of up to 70 mph. It will be triggered by a 700-mile-wide system, according to forecasters.
The storm is expected to hit Scotland hardest with devastating downpours set to arrive from Thursday in coastal areas. However, the storms are expected to batter most of the UK.

According to SunOnline, a fourth gale is due a week tomorrow. This will mark day seven of bad weather conditions by low pressure from the Atlantic.

None of the storms have been named by the weather service at this stage. It comes only days after Storm Ciarán brought winds of up to 100mph and resulted in the Met Office issuing multiple severe weather warnings.

36 flood warnings and 146 alerts were issued across the country as the storm caused widespread chaos. Some areas were forced to cancel their bonfire night celebrations, while some areas were submerged in flood water, and other parts of the UK were left without power due to storm damage.
