A London cabbie has been spotted giving eco zealots the middle finger as Just Stop Oil hold up rush hour traffic in east London.

Images show the moment the disgruntled cab driver shows the eco-warriors exactly what he thinks of their campaign of action in the city as they stand in the middle of the road with their Just Stop Oil banner.

The disruption is coming just as Friday night rush hour begins in earnest in the capital.

The Metropolitan Police have confirmed 13 protestors have been arrested.

In a statement shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, the force wrote: ‘We have arrested a further 13 Just Stop Oil protestors today.

At 16:08hrs the group entered Cambridge Heath Road in Bethnal Green. Officers made arrested under Section 7 of the Public Order Act 2023 and re-opened the road a short time later’.

It comes amid pro-Palestine rallies set to dominate the UK this weekend, as well as sporting fixtures and dozens of other events scheduled for Bonfire Night.

Stunts by Just Stop Oil have already cost the taxpayer an estimated £40million, new analysis released today reveals.

Hundreds of the eco-zealots were arrested in London this week as JSO ramped-up their autumn action and dozens have since been charged.

Analysis now shows how much the group has estimated to have cost the hard-up taxpayer since they formed in February last year.

Policing JSO’s stunts and marches has cost at least £20million alone, including around £15 million for The Metropolitan Police alone as part of that in the last two years.

That includes patrolling the streets during protests and making arrests and dealing with activists once they are in custody.
