Police were scrambled to St Margaret’s Primary School on Tuesday morning after the teen was knifed in the stomach.

Desperate parents rushed over to help the teen until paramedics arrived but sadly he couldn't be saved.

One horrified witness said Alfie was stabbed while he picked up a friend's little brother from the primary school.

Tributes have flooded in for the teen, who previously attended Horsforth School.

Headteacher Paul Bell said he had been "overwhelmed" by the kindness shown in the local community.

He added: "Everyone's thoughts and sympathies lie with the boy's family and friends.

"A tragedy like this is a huge shock to our school and local community, and we understand that people will be deeply affected by this rare incident.

"However, we know the community will rally together to support each other during this very sad and difficult time."
