This Morning in fresh presenter shake-up as top TV star set for major return

Rylan Clark will reportedly return to This Morning next week.

The 35-year-old presenter will host the ITV daytime show alongside regular Josie Gibson next week as holiday cover, it has been reported. He will be on the famous blue sofa from Monday to Thursday and bosses are said to be "thrilled" at getting him back in front of their cameras.

He hasn't hosted the magazine show since 2022 when he was joined by Loose Women presenter Ruth Langsford, who used to host This Morning on Fridays with husband Eamonn Holmes.

A source close to the Rylan told MailOnline: "Rylan is just so popular with the British public, he is adored. This Morning bosses are absolutely delighted to have got him back on after such a long break. He will be joining Josie and he is thrilled. The pair of them will have such a laugh together, ITV executives are sure that they will be a real hit with the viewers."

The latest presenter shake-up comes weeks after Holly Willoughby announced her departure from the programme after 14 years. In her leaving statement, Holly told fans: "This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we've done together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive.

"To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you. Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You've been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day." This year has also seen This Morning's other star presenter, Phillip Schofield, step away.

Holly, 42, is reportedly going to back her TV return next year when Dancing on Ice begins for a new season in January. A source told The Mirror: “Holly has told pals she wants to do Dancing on Ice. In spite of her decision to walk away from This Morning, she’s still part of the ITV family and loves the show.

"The last few weeks have been really difficult for her, and her team have avoided any formal discussions about work because she has been through so much lately. While Holly has understandably struggled with recent events, she is trying her best –with the help of family and friends – to look forward and to be positive.”

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 10am
