BBC Breakfast’s Sally Nugent begs ‘leave her alone’ as she hits out at Jon probe
BBC Breakfast star Sally Nugent hit out at Jon Kay after he left a guest red-faced on Monday (November 13).
The duo teamed up for the latest instalment of the morning programme, sharing the top news headlines with viewers across the country. This included King Charles' 75th birthday which falls on Tuesday (November 14).
To mark the milestone birthday, the King will be joined by local honourees who will enjoy afternoon tea and a rock choir at his private house in Highgrove, Gloucestershire. Guests include former Marie Curie nurse Ann Brady and French chef Raymond Blanc.

Ann, who turns 75 in December, began training as a nurse in 1968 and when she turned 50, decided to become a palliative care nurse. Opening up about the job, she told the presenters: "I'd go into people's homes and look after them at night time.
"Also supporting families and ensuring that they have a rest and are able to care for their loved ones in the day time." Ann went on to brand it the "most rewarding job" she's ever had.
Feeling "very special" about being invited to the His Majesty's birthday party, Ann revealed she first met the King when he was a prince in 2009 and recognised the honour of meeting him once again as the King. "Have you taken a present?" asked Jon.

"Gosh, no I haven't," responded a surprised Ann. "Just myself." "Ann!" exclaimed Jon as Sally interjected: "Leave her alone". Adding light to the situation, Jon asked: "What do you give the King as a birthday present?"
"Will I be dismissed?" laughed the former nurse. "I did read that he's a difficult person to buy gifts for." It comes after Sally sparked concern amongst fans as they noticed she was ill while presenting BBC Breakfast.
Last week, the 52-year-old was praised for "soldiering on" through the programme as they assumed she was suffering from a seasonal cold. One wrote: “@sallynugent well done for soldiering on today! I believe we may have the same cold!!"
A second added: “Shout out to @sallynugent who presented @BBCBreakfast full of a cold! Proper, trooper!!! Go Sal!!” The following day, Sally was absent from the red sofa and was replaced by Sarah Campbell.
