Corrie’s Kym Marsh ‘set to return’ amid co-stars ‘difficult’ time on soap
Former Coronation Street Kym Marsh could be heading back to the cobbles four years after her shock exit, AI has claimed.
The actress, who plays Michelle Connor, made her Corrie debut back in 2006. For 13 years, she was a regular on the ITV soap and became a firm favourite with viewers.
And it’s fair to say she was involved in a slew of big storylines including the death of her brothers and a harrowing baby swap plot. She also had an ionic friendship with sister-in-law Carla Connor (Alison King) that was a hit with viewers.

But in 2019, Kym revealed she was leaving the soap after 13 years leaving fans gutted. Her final episode aired in December of that year.
Since her exit, Michelle has been mentioned numerous times. Her son Ryan (Ryan Prescott) was involved in a horrific acid attack earlier this year, and Ryan even left the cobbles to visit Michelle in Ireland.
However, as fans will recall, Michelle’s sister-in-law and best pal Carla has had a rather turbulent past few months. In an attempt to take over her factory, Underworld, serial killer Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) drugged her with LSD.
Carla was then issued another couple of blows when beau Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) was arrested for the murder of Stephen. The soap icon rammed him down with his car before Stephen tried to make an escape.
And to make things even worse, prior to his death Stephen stole £250,000 from Carla’s business. So in a bid to save the factory, in episodes this week, Carla left the soap for Spain.
Now, it’s been claimed that Carla could be bringing back Michelle to the cobbles when she returns from Spain. Daily Star has quizzed one of the world’s most popular artificially intelligent “creative” tools Bard AI to see if Kym could return to Coronation Street amid the drama going on in character Carla’s life.
The program responded: “Yes, it is possible that Kym Marsh could return. Kym has said that she is open to returning to the soap in the future, and her character, Michelle Connor, is currently off-screen, so it would be easy to write her back in.”
The system added: “Carla is currently going through a difficult time. Michelle has always been a close friend and confidante to Carla, so it would make sense for her to return to Weatherfield to support her through this difficult time.”

Bard AI went on: “There are a few reasons why it would make sense for Michelle to return to help Carla. First, they are best friends. They have supported each other through thick and thin over the years, and they know each other better than anyone else. Second, Michelle is a strong and capable woman. She has been through a lot in her own life, and she knows how to deal with adversity.”
However, the program did say “It is too early to say for sure” if Kym will make her return to the soap. It then said: “However, it is certainly a possibility, and it would be a popular move with fans of the soap.”
