Coronation Street’s Helen Flanagan breaks down in tears asking ‘why am I such a mess?’ | The Sun

FORMER Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan broke down in an Instagram Story video earlier today and was left asking, “why am I such a mess?”

The TV star posted the video from inside her broken-down car. 

Helen, 33, could be seen wearing a black top with her hair tied back in the Instagram video she posted earlier today. She shared that she’d had a motor malfunction and was stranded in a hire car.

“This isn’t normal. I’ve broke down in my courtesy car,” she said in the video as she wiped tears away from her eyes. 

“Why am I just a mess?” she added in text on the video. 

The car’s emergency hazard lights could be heard in the video, and in a second post, she revealed she was waiting for roadside assistance.

In the additional post, she tried to keep things light as she posed with pouted lips and held her fingers up in the peace sign. She also added Shirley Bassey’s Goldfinger to the story.

Alongside the photo she wrote: “I was like ‘I’m an AA Gold member, come get me please.’”

A few hours later, Helen posted a selfie with her son Charlie, suggesting she was back at home with him. 

She had been in the courtesy car after recently crashing her 70k Audi.

Over the weekend, Helen posted another candid video on social media where she revealed that she’d been left without a car after she had a devastating crash in a car park while on a family day out.

I crashed my car. The kids were fine. I was fine … but I was pumpkin picking and all I did was reverse into a piece of wood because I can’t park or reverse park to save my life.

“I just thought I’d scratched my car because it didn’t even make a noise, but I’ve taken the whole of my bonnet off. Wow… and my car’s new.”

Despite the devastation to her expensive motor, Helen managed to remain positive, as she was excited to be reunited with her kids. She told her fans that her dad had gone to bring them back from her ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair’s house. 

“I get my kids back today, so I’m excited about that. They’ve been away for half term.

“I do really miss them when they’re away. It always feels really weird,” she added.
