Escape to the Country: Jules asks couple about final property
Two Strictly Come Dancing legends are joining BBC’s new property spin-off series Celebrity Escape to the Country.
Following the long-standing success of the original show, five special episodes will feature a range of stars house hunting for the perfect new home.
The instalments will air on BBC One and iPlayer in December as viewers will get an idyllic look into rural Britain’s property market.
Some of the people taking part include husband and wife Strictly stars Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec and The Chase’s Jenny Ryan.
Other celebrity property buyers that will be seen in the special series include former King of the Jungle Christopher Biggins, Bucks Fizz popstar Cheryl Baker and TV health professional Doctor Ranj Singh.

The celebrities will have to decide whether they want to swap the hustle and bustle of city living for a slower life in the countryside.
From the idyllic landscapes of Cheshire, the Peak District, Lancashire, Kent and Sussex, are the stars prepared for a change?
Speaking about the upcoming specials, Julie Shaw, Commissioning Editor, BBC Daytime and Factual confessed it was time for the original format to have a shake-up.
She commented:” Escape to the Country has been a staple in the BBC daytime schedule for 21 years.

“Audiences love this programme and watching the journeys the house-hunters go on, so it was about time we got to go house hunting with some famous faces.
“I can’t wait for this to land in the schedules.”
With John Comerford, who heads up the production company Naked West, said: “We love helping prospective rural dwellers find their dream homes.
“We’re delighted the BBC have commissioned this special series giving us all an insight into our favourite celebrities’ lives as they look to swap the city for a new home in the country.”
It’s possible Strictly’s Janette and Aljaz will want a change in scenery after recently welcoming their first daughter into the world.
The duo announced the birth of their baby, who they called Lyra, back in July.
Although the husband and wife duo have hung up their dancing shoes, Janette remains part of the Strictly family as the host of It Takes Two.
The celebrity specials will be on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in December.
