Frankie Essex: ‘I’m so worried about my baby’s wobbly neck – we’ve seen doctors for a year’

Former TOWIE star Frankie Essex gave birth to her twins, whom she shares with boyfriend Luke Love, last May. She has since shared updates while settling into life with babies Logan and Luella.

In her exclusive column for OK!, Frankie has discussed a range of topics related to motherhood – from her first social outing with the twins and a blackout at her home when they were just a few days old, to “feeling more human again” as the babies dropped their dreaded 2am feed.

This week she talks about how she's been seeing doctors for about a year over concerns about Luella's neck, how her partner Luke was in a minor car crash, and her worries surrounding Halloween.

My birthday took a downward turn when Luke was in a minor car crash

The evening before, Luke took me out for a meal in London, and then the next day we took the twins to the zoo, which was just so amazing. And it's great for all ages, young and old, after I told my family what we'd be up to my brother was like 'oh next time you go, can I come too?'

But that night after we had dinner Luke got a call into work and said he'd turn it down but I convinced him to go in, and then a bit later he called to tell me someone had crashed into the car.

I felt terrible. I was thinking it was my birthday and he didn't want to go like he should have just been here at home. Luckily Luke was okay and the twins weren't in the car, otherwise it could have been a completely different story.

We've been back and forth with insurance all week

It seemed to have been seem young boy speeding and winding in and out of the cars, but he didn't stop to exchange insurance details or anything, and it's caused over £2K worth of damage so I've just spent the last few days on the phone with the insurance company, which is just such a headache.

Luella's got a hospital appointment this week

She has quite a bad neck but she's always had it, she has this thing where he neck will tilt to the left. We've been going back and forth to the doctors for about a year now. And it'll go back to normal everytime we take her to the doctors, but last week it tilted again so we're going again on Tuesday.

She's a really wobbly baby so I don't know if it's linked, and I just don't want her to have back and neck problems when she's older.

We've been told that the neck problems might be from where she was breech, and that because of that it's just the way she's comfortable.

I have no idea how the twins are going to react to Halloween decorations

I don't know how they're going to be with all the scary stuff, I'm not sure if they even really know what frightening things are yet. There was this dinosaur area in the zoo that had these life-size models, and both Logan and Luella were a bit unsure at first but then they ended up just enjoying it.

They've not been scared of any characters or anything yet, but obviously, kids can be scared of the strangest things. I used to be terrified of the black-and-white part at the beginning of The Wizard of Oz. It makes me laugh now but as a child, I always had to fast-forward through that part.

Amy Childs has the tidiest house I've ever seen, I have no idea how she does it with four children

I was recently visiting Amy Childs and was just so amazed by her house, it's so clean and tidy, and it wasn't like she was tidying up while I was there or anything. I spend so much time cleaning up and everything but her house was just spotless, despite having four young children at home, I just have no idea how she does it.
