A glamorous prison nurse is being investigated over claims she was having a fling with a prisoner who previously had an affair with a now-jailed warden.

Alexandra Power, who was working at one of the UK's most secure prisons in HMP Aylesbury, is accused of being in a relationship with Jay Bell. Bell was serving a 10 month sentence for road rage offences and was working at the prison's reception area while Power was a temp nurse.

Around two years ago, Bell had a fling with prison officer Sarah Milburn, who was later found to have been involved in relationships with three inmates at The Mount Jail in Hemel Hempstead and was jailed for 16 months. Despite already being in relationships and each having two children, Power and Bell are now rumoured to be living together after he was released in September and she was moved to another prison while the investigation is ongoing.

However, speaking to the Daily Mail, 31-year-old Power said the claims are “false allegations” and wouldn't comment further. But, a source told the publication that she was “very glamorous” which made her “popular” with inmates.

They said: “It was common knowledge around the place that they had hooked up. Jay was released in September and they're now living together. She has been stopped from working at HMP Aylesbury while the investigation takes place . . . he's got form for this sort of thing.

“Alex had a partner at the time and two children. Jay also had a partner and two children.”

Bell was most recently jailed in December last year after being filmed threatening two motorcyclists with a hammer in a violent road rage incident in London in which he screamed: 'I'll f*** you up'. He later hit one of them on the head.

Power was employed by Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust while working at the prison, and a Trust spokesman said: “We have been made aware of an allegation involving a temporary worker which we are investigating. Whilst this investigation is ongoing, the staff member has been asked not to attend the service location they usually work in.

“We should stress that this is a neutral action to allow a full investigation to take place. We are not able to comment further on such matters while they are taking place.”
