THE Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe, celebrated his birthday by eating a trifle in his cell.
Serial killer Sutcliffe, who turned 74 on Tuesday, enjoyed the treat with drinks including ginger beer and cream soda bought by lag pals.
At first he moaned he did not receive any cards on his birthday — but then 25 arrived later.
Sutcliffe is isolated in his cell in Frankland Prison, County Durham, because he is in a high-risk Covid-19 group.
His serial rapist jail “buddy” made him the trifle with ingredients bought from the canteen.
Neil Jackson, whose mum Emily, 42, was the second of 13 women Sutcliffe killed, said: “It makes me sick he’s able to celebrate like this.
"People should not be allowed to send him cards and there should not be a fuss. I wish he’d choked on the trifle.”
Last year, Sutcliffe marked his birthday by gorging on 80 pieces of Southern Fried chicken with pals in jail.
The fiend stalked lone women in Yorkshire and Greater Manchester from 1975 to 1980 before launching frenzied attacks.
He was finally caught in January 1981 and later handed 20 life terms after an Old Bailey trial.
Sutcliffe has signed a “do not resuscitate” order in jail after doctors told him was at high risk of dying if he contracts Covid-19.
A Prison Service spokesman said: "We do not comment on individual prisoners."
