A woman was raped and knocked unconscious during an hour-long attack on the front lawn of her Long Island home early Friday, according to police and reports.
The 36-year-old victim was attacked by an unknown man at around 1:30 a.m. while the victim was walking on Parsons Avenue in Freeport nearby Northeast Park, the Nassau County Police Department said.
The thug struck the woman in the face, knocking her unconscious, according to cops.
“When she woke up, she realized she was being sexually assaulted,” police said.
According to News 12 Long Island, the woman was raped for an hour in front of her home.
“She was walking to the house when she got surprised by the guy, grabbed her behind and knocked her unconscious…dragged her to the grass…he raped her the whole hour,” the victim’s brother told the news outlet.
The brother said that the woman fought back and even broke a window of her home, alerting family members.
The suspect ran off when relatives ran outside.
He was described by police as Hispanic, standing between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-8, authorities said, adding that he wore blue jeans and a long green shirt.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and an evaluation.
No arrests have been made.
