Two dead in Texas church shooting rampage with third person injured

A shooting rampage at a church in Texas, in the United States, has seen two people die and another reportedly injured.

Emergency services were called to the attack at a church near Fort Worth on Sunday which has seen the two people die and one person taken to hospital.

Fort Worth Fire Department spokesman Mike Drivdahl confirmed that three people had been shot at the church in White Settlement, about eight miles west of Forth Worth.

MedStar Mobile Healthcare spokeswoman Macara Trusty said that one person died at scene and the other died on the way to hospital.

Ms Trusty said she has been told by a supervisor at the scene that one of the people who died was the shooter.

Video of the scene shows Fort Worth Police, Fort Worth Fire Department and Medstar EMS present.

Several people can be seen outside the church, which is roped off by yellow police tape.

The first cops on the scene, around 10am local time, found three people with gun shot injuries including the attacker.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said he was "shocked and saddened" to hear about the shooting.

"As reports come in, please pray for any victims and their families, this congregation, and the law enforcement officials at the scene. My office will assist in any way needed," he said.
