‘Sex attacker who lay in wait for women at London tube station before following and assaulting them’ struck on three consecutive weekends, police say

- A woman, 30, was sexually assaulted by a man at around 11.25pm on August 28
- Second attack saw a 21-year-old woman sexually assaulted just eight days later
- And on September 11, a 21-year-old was assaulted at 10.15pm on Ellesmere Road
Police are hunting for a suspect who allegedly lay in wait for three women at a north-west London tube station before following them and sexually assaulting them.
The sex attacks took place on three consecutive weekends less than five minutes from Dollis Hill station, and Scotland Yard officers are treating the assaults as linked.
The first victim, a 30-year-old woman, was followed by a man at around 11.25pm on August 28 and was sexually assaulted in Fleetwood Road, Brent.
Just eight days later, on September 5, a 21-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in the nearby Ellesmere Road just after 10pm, according to the Metropolitan Police.

A member of the public managed to intervene and the suspect fled from the scene.
The third attack saw a 21-year-old sexually assaulted at 10.15pm on September 11 on Ellesmere Road, with the suspect again fleeing after a member of the public stepped in.
Each victim described the alleged sex attacker as mixed race, with facial stubble of a slim build and wearing black clothing.
The officer leading the investigation, Detective Inspector Jonny Newell, said it was ‘clear’ the perpetrator was waiting at or near Dollis Hill station with the ‘sole purpose’ of seeking out women, following them to a secluded area and attacking them.
Mr Newell also noted that the sex attacks took place ‘on a weekend, at a similar time and in very close proximity to both the Underground and each other’.
He added: ‘On each occasion the victims have managed to raise the alarm, causing their attacker to flee the scene.

‘We are incredibly grateful to the two members of the public who came to their assistance.
‘All of the women have understandably been left shaken and we are doing everything we can to stop this happening again.
‘We would urge anyone who lives in the area to think about whether they saw anything suspicious on any of these evenings and to check any CCTV or doorbell footage they may have.
‘Sexual assaults of this nature remain very rare but we will of course be carrying out extra patrols in the area over the next few weeks.
‘Tackling violence against women and girls is one of the Met’s top priorities and we are determined to stop this man from causing further harm.’
