The six boys, some of them believed to be Year 11 pupils from Stepney All Saints School, were travelling in a £187,000 Lamborghini Urus on the way to their end-of-year prom.

The car was being driven by a 20-year-old bloke.

An email from the school in question informed parents of the incident, and confirmed injuries were suffered.

It reads: “Our staff have been in contact with the families of those students who were involved as passengers of the vehicle.

“I can confirm that although there are some injuries to our students, thankfully there are no fatalities.

“This has been confirmed to me this morning by the Metropolitan Police.
