Police searching for Chelsea Allen, 31, who vanished eight days ago find body in woodland | The Sun
POLICE searching for a woman who disappeared eight days ago with no phone or money have tragically found a body.
Chelsea Allen, 31, vanished from her home in Helmsley, North Yorkshire, at 3am on June 26.
Police mounted a huge search for the Army chef, whose disappearance was "completely out of character".
They confirmed today a body was found in woodland in Helmsley.
Formal identification has not yet taken place but officers believe the body belongs to Chelsea.
Police are not currently treating the death as suspicious and say the chef's family have been informed.

The discovery comes after Chelsea's heartbroken family pleaded for information as they described the veteran as having a "heart of gold".
Lauren Naylor said: "A week too long without CCTV to show she was seen that night leaving Helmsley. Please all my Facebook share.
"She really could be anywhere and the more people see it will be more aware all we want is for her to be home and safe. We’re all heartbroken."
While girlfriend Natasha Steve Lewzey urged: "Go check derelict buildings, sheds, stables, land, bushes, empty houses, unused cars, vans, farm vehicles, empty shops not in use, churches, barns, whatever."

Chelsea was said to have left home on foot with no coat on and without her phone or money.
Police officers, a mountain rescue team and off-road bikes were used in the eight-day search.
North Yorkshire Police said: "Police searching for missing 31-year-old Chelsea Allen have sadly recovered a body.
"Although formal identification has not been confirmed at this stage, officers believe the body to be that of Chelsea Allen. The circumstances are currently not believed to be suspicious.
"The family of Chelsea Allen have been informed of this news and are currently being supported."
