Podcaster Joe Rogan slammed over 2011 video of him laughing about forcing female comedians to have sex – The Sun

JOE Rogan has come under fire after a sick video emerged of the comedian laughing hysterically while his friend and fellow comedian openly boasted about coercing women into performing oral sex in order to get stage time.

The clip shows Joey “Coco” Diaz openly gloating about coercing women in the Los Angeles comedy scene, telling Rogan female comedians have "to suck my d***" to perform because it's the "gateway into Hollywood".

In the recently resurfaced 2011 clip from 'The Joe Rogan Experience' podcast, Rogan seems to find his friend's recollection hilarious, and sends him doubling over in laughter and throwing his hands back in delight.

57-year-old Diaz continues: "You think I’m f****** kidding? Yeah, you’ve got to suck my d*** to get up to the Belly Room", referring to a popular LA comedy club.

“How many girls did you have do that?” Rogan asks.

“Oh, 20,” Diaz flippantly responds as Rogan laughs and claps his hands.

"I’ll make a call for you. That’s the f****** gateway into coming to Hollywood, everybody knows that," he adds.

You’ve got to suck my d*** … That’s the f****** gateway into Hollywood, everybody knows that.

Diaz recalls more of the disturbing details, saying: "I had this little blonde open mic chick that used to come up to the comedy store with a 20 and take me up to the Belly Room and suck my d*** then go do her set …. She was tremendous.

"She finally freaked out when she got to Hollywood she was beautiful and when she left she had dirty f****** nails."

He added that a year later the woman wrote him a letter saying that he "broke her".

Diaz continues to laugh and adds: "I kept shooting sperm balls in her f***** ear".

The disturbing footage was shared to Twitter as part of a larger conversation on sexual harassment in the Los Angeles comedy community after actor Chris D'elia was accused of sexual misconduct with underage girls.

Celebrities and fellow comedians took to social media to condemn the pair.

Comedian and scriptwriter Melanie Bracewell said "this s*** makes me physically sick".

"Chris D'Elia is not the first awful creep and he won't be the last while we laugh along and pretend this is OK. Women belong in comedy as comedians and fans and don't deserve to be preyed upon," she wrote on Twitter.

Author Catherynne M. Valente also struck out against both men in a tweet and questioned how much influence Rogan is allowed to wield.

“Rogan doesn’t have one word to say against this," she said.

"It’s hilarious to him. Ha ha you raped so many ladies! And you want to tell me this man should be part of our political discourse.”

Diaz responded to the uproar by tweeting: "If they couldn't stop me then now that I'm 57……I really don't give a Frenchman's f***…."

He also shared other disturbing interview clips, including one titled 'Joey Diaz Sleeps With One-Legged Woman.'

Some took aim at Spotify, attacking the company for their recent decision to sign Rogan up for a $100 million contract.

“Rogan just got a deal with Spotify worth over $100 million @Spotify do you condone this?,” asked Parkland school shooting survivor David Hogg on Twitter.

“If Spotify doesn’t condemn this we should #BoycottSpotify”

In May, Rogan signed an exclusive deal with Spotify worth a reported $100million.

The 52-year-old American's podcast The Joe Rogan Experience will only be available through the Swedish streaming service from September.

The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) boasts 190million downloads a month, according to Rogan, and is currently available across a range of platforms.

The show typically takes the form of hours-long chats between Rogan and A-list comedians, sports stars, actors and even the odd politician.

Born in New Jersey, Rogan has performed stand-up since 1988 and worked as a commentator and ring-side interviewer with the UFC since 1997.

His podcasts have sparked controversy in the past. In 2018, billionaire Tesla boss Elon Musk smoked weed with Rogan on his show. Shares for Tesla dropped nine per cent shortly after the incident.
