Jessica Mulroney has been pictured for the first time since touching down in Sydney where she is accompanying her pregnant best friend Meghan Markle on tour.

The high-society Canadian stylist, who met Meghan when the actress was filming Suits in Toronto, was spotted picking up groceries with her TV host husband Ben.

The pair, both glowing after an intense gym workout, were seen popping into a 7/11 convenience store in Sydney’s CBD and leaving with a plastic bag of supplies around 6pm local time on Tuesday.

A witness told MailOnline: ‘I saw her in the shop next to some Haribo treats – perhaps she was picking some up for Meghan’s pregnancy cravings.’

It is thought Jessica is joining Prince Harry and Meghan on their royal tour of Australia to offer advice and comfort to the Duchess of Sussex

Earlier on Tuesday, Jessica revealed on social media she had landed in Sydney after a ’24-hour journey’.

Despite the long journey, the Mulroneys wasted no time in heading out from their hotel and squeezed in a ‘jetlagged’ workout at an F45 gym in Sydney.

Jessica, 38, is joining Prince Harry and Meghan on their royal tour of Australia to offer advice and comfort to the Duchess of Sussex, who announced her pregnancy on Monday.

The pair are so close they are ‘like sisters’ and Meghan considers Jessica’s three children – who were page boys and a flower girl at the wedding – as nieces and nephews.

Parents-to-be Harry and Meghan on Monday touched down in Sydney at the start of a major tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga.

Jessica and her 42-year-old husband Ben, the son of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, are joining the couple in an ‘unofficial’ capacity – meaning they will cover their own expenses.

A video Jessica shared on her Instagram story on Sunday evening appeared to show the pair in an airport departure lounge.

Canadian ‘mumpreneur’ Jessica was Meghan’s unofficial wedding planner ahead of her big day in May and has styled her for subsequent royal engagements – and it’s likely the Duchess will now turn to her close friend for advice on navigating her first pregnancy, too.

Kensington Palace confirmed on Monday that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who arrived the same day in Australia at the start of their first overseas royal tour as a married couple, are expecting a baby in the spring of 2019. Meghan is seen at an engagement at London’s Southbank Centre in July wearing a House of Nonie trench dress selected for her by her best pal Jessica, who is understood to be flying out to join her on her overseas tour

Meghan’s best friend and unofficial stylist Jessica Mulroney – seen with her daughter, Ivy – is joining the royal couple on the tour, suggesting she may be supporting the Duchess as she navigates multiple engagements in the early stages of pregnancy

Parenting expert Anna Williamson told MailOnline: ‘Becoming a first time mum is a change physically, mentally and emotionally like no other.

‘For someone like Meghan, her already very public and scrutinised professional and personal life is going to step up another notch – this can create huge pressure on an already nervous and overwhelmed new mum to be. Having trusted friends around to support and advise is key,’ she added.

‘Jessica is vital to offer a confidential knowledgeable ear to her friend on pregnancy, juggling work and family, and crucially on how to be a mum,’ said Anna, the author of Breaking Mum and Dad: The Insider’s Guide to Parenting Anxiety.

The stylist and wedding planner is open about her family life on social media, and regularly shares tidbits of how she juggles a busy career with raising three small children with her fans.

Jessica recently shared footage of herself cooking up a storm with her daughter Ivy and chef Kate Daniels, telling fans: ‘When you include your kids in the kitchen, miracles really do happen.’

Parenting expert Ms Williamson said Meghan has ‘set up her support network well’ as she prepares to welcome her first child.

‘Being away from home and creature comforts during pregnancy can also be hard to cope with,’ she said. ‘The nesting instinct can kick in straight away and the need to be safe and secure. But Meghan has her husband Prince Harry by her side in Australia, [and] her best friend is joining.

‘She has set up her support network well, with a knowledgeable trusted mum friend on hand. As the weeks and months ramp up to the birth, friends such as Jessica will become even more valuable to show her the ropes of motherhood.

‘The Duchess of Cambridge will also serve as the perfect ‘royal mum pal’ to help her get to grips mentally with the enormity of giving birth to a possible future monarch,’ Ms Williamson added.

Mother-of-three Jessica, seen with the now Duchess in Toronto in 2016, was Meghan’s unofficial maid of honour at the royal wedding in May. Her daughter Ivy was a flower girl, and her twin sons John and Brian were page boys

Earlier this month Jessica shared a snap of her husband and their three children out for an evening stroll near their home in Toronto, Canada, writing: ‘Because work life is crazy… and business travel is at an all time high, simple evening strolls help me pause and remember what is truly important.’

As a seasoned pro at balancing public life with raising children, Jessica is well placed to support and advise her best friend through this newest chapter, too.

Harry and Meghan’s first child will be born in the Spring of 2019.

Kensington Palace said in a statement on Monday morning: ‘Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.

‘Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.’

Both the Duchess, seen chatting to some young admirers after leaving a Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey back in March, and Harry were open about their desire to start a family together

A video clip shared by Jessica on her Instagram Stories on Sunday evening suggested she and her husband Ben Mulroney were in an airport. The couple are understood to be joining Harry and Meghan on tour in an ‘unofficial’ capacity – meaning they will cover their own expenses

It is believed stylist Jessica has been helping the Duchess with her royal wardrobe, including on a recent visit to the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibit at London’s South Bank.

The Duchess, 37, wore a sleeveless trench coat by the Canadian brand House of Nonie.

The thrilled designer publicly thanked Jessica on the brand’s Instagram account for choosing the £629 dress.

She also helped Meghan plan her ‘engagement outfit’ when her betrothal to Prince Harry was officially announced in November 2017.

Jessica is believed to have met Meghan in 2011 while the actress lived in Toronto.

The McGill University graduate works in PR and as a wedding planner, and previously founded the Shoebox Project, a charity initiative that distributes shoeboxes full of gifts to women in need.

Kensington Palace did not comment on reports the Mulroneys would join Harry and Meghan on tour.

Support: Jessica, seen helping her flower girl daughter Ivy up the steps of St George’s Chapel along with the Duchess of Cambridge at Meghan and Harry’s wedding in May, is open about her family life on social media, and regularly remarks on juggling her busy career with raising three young children

The Duchess’ choice of a loose-fitting coat for Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding on Friday prompted a flood of speculation among fans – and it turned out to be right on the money, as Kensington Palace has since confirmed that Meghan is indeed expecting
