Paper publishes picture of Hasbullah after asking for snaps of kids in the snow

A local newspaper in Scotland was duped into printing a photograph of an internet celebrity with dwarfism after asking for picture of children enjoying the country's snow.

A joker sent an image of Hasbulla, 19, a blogger and TikTok star from Makhachkala, Russia, who has a genetic disorder that gives him childlike characteristics such as stunted growth and a high voice.

The weekly paper published the image of the diminutive social media star with a snowy backdrop, saying: "Hasbullah, seven, had never experienced snow before last week."

Hasbullah Magomedov rose to internet fame last year after making TikToks posing as a child. His relationship with UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov earned him even more fame, and the moniker 'Mini Khabib.'

"Our local paper asked for pics of kids enjoying last week's snow and someone's sent in a pic of Hazbullah I'm dead," tweeted someone who spotted the picture.

In response, a man revealed he was the one who emailed in the picture, saying that "wee Hasbullah" was standing on the Gleniffer Braes, a short range of hills and park area to the south of Paisley, with Glasgow in the background.

"This is the first time he has actually seen snow!" the prankster added in the email.

It is much more likely that the original picture was taken in Hasbullah's native Russia and has indeed seen snow.

"So my Friday night attempt at a bam up has turned out no bad…much to my surprise," the man tweeted. A bam up is a colloquial term for a wind up.

Hasbullah’s condition hasn't been officially confirmed, but he is thought to have a form of dwarfism. He is 3ft 4in tall.
