Paedo who raped girl, 13, needed plastic surgery after being attacked in jail

A peadophile who raped a 13-year-old girl needed plastic surgery after he was attacked within seconds of arriving in prison.

Kadian Nelson, 27, was arrested after a video of him speaking to a schoolgirl in an alleyway went viral on social media.

Kingston Crown Court heard the teen had been on the phone chatting to a friend about homework when Nelson creeped up behind her and put one hand over her mouth.

Nelson put another on her head and threatened to kill her before leading her to an alleyway where he fired her to take off her coat and school blazer.

The paedophile then assaulted his victim and put his own jacket on the victim when a member of the public intervened and filmed Nelson.

Metropolitan Police officers caught up with Nelson, who admitted kidnap, rape and threats to kill the girl.

Nelson was then taken to HMP Wandsworth, South West London, where he was attacked within minutes of arriving.

It is understood a single punch sent Nelson flying, leaving him with injuries that required immediate medical attention, the Sun reported.

The paedo reportedly landed on the edge of a wooden desk, which cracked, pushing a splinter into his cheek.

A source told the publication it was "brutal attack" by a prisoner who had "arrived in the same van" as Nelson.

"It was a brutal attack by a prisoner who had arrived in the same van. Everyone knew what he had done. It was clearly targeted," they said.

A Prison Service spokeswoman said: "Police are investigating."

Police had called for calm when the attack was reported on social media.

Nelson will be sentenced at Kingston crown court in August.
