Nine times Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton wore almost identical outfits

Meghan Marke and Kate Middleton turned heads today when they wore almost identical outfits during official engagements.

The Duchess of Sussex was in a burgundy coat and dress by Club Monaco as she visited the Hubb Community Kitchen in London – set up to support those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire – to help promote their cookbook.

On the same day, Kate donned a similar-coloured outfit to visit University College London. She was there to learn about the way the environment shapes the development of children.

Kate’s outfit was a recycled suit from Paule Ke – last worn in February 2017 during a visit to Wales.

Keen royal observers were quick to point out the pair looked similarly stylish.

And, as these photos show, it’s not the first time Kate and Meghan have dressed almost identically…

Meghan was in a Club Monaco coat and dress in west London, and Kate wore a Paule Ke suit that she has showcased before.

She wore a shimmering blue dress to share her happy news with the world.

Six years later, before her relationship with Harry, Meghan appeared to have drawn inspiration from her future in-law during an Instagram Dinner in Toronto.

The two took inspiration from one another over the summer.

Kate donned this sleeveless yellow frock at Wimbledon in July to sit in the royal box.

Meanwhile, Meghan slipped into a similar attire for a Commonwealth Secretariats reception in London the same month.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore red for a reception at Government House in Victoria during the third day of her and William’s tour of Canada in 2016.

Meghan – then a star of legal drama Suits – wore an almost identical dress at the Rockefeller Center Studios to appear on the Today Show that same year.

Meghan wore a black lattice dress for a Novak Djokovic benefit dinner in New York in September 2013.

Two months later the Duchess of Cambridge appeared to have drawn inspiration.

She donned a similar design for the Sports Aid dinner in London.

Kate, with her Home Counties upbringing, is likely to be no stranger to tweed.

She wore a grey jacket with black lapel during a walkabout in London last month.

It came just days after Meghan wore a similar blazer in Australia during her and Harry’s tour of Oceania.

Both royal women are clearly lovers of blue.

Meghan, pictured in New York in 2016, looks radiant in a blue, button-up frock.

And Kate a year later wore a similar coat during her tour of Germany with William, George and Chrlotte.

They are also both known to dress in black.

The Duchess of Cambridge rocked this dark look at the British Embassy in Paris last year.

And in 2014, Meghan was also bold in a noir outfit during the Bridging the Gender Gap conference in Dublin.

Meghan donned a blue Givenchy dress on her tour of Australia at almost exactly the same time.

The pair clearly do love a solid blue.
