How you can get McDonald's classic cheeseburger for just 25 cents in Throwback Thursday deal
MCDONALD'S is offering select menu items for less than 35 cents — here's how to get them.
As a tribute to the early days of the iconic fast-food chain, it is offering some of its signature products for rock bottom prices.
McDonald's, which was founded in San Bernardino in 1955, introduced their Throwback Thursdays promotion earlier this month as a nod to the nostalgic prices from back in the day. The offer includes multiple menu favorites that are 35 cents or less.
The promotion is running every Thursday now through February 18.
To get them, customers must make a minimum purchase of $1 through the McDonald's app. Once the minimum is hit, the designated menu item of the day will be on offer.
And while the Throwback Thursday Deals have already been running for two weeks, there are still some exciting offers ahead.
On January 28 small shakes are only 25 cents and February 4 features 20 cent apple pies.
Large fries are just 35 cents on February 11 and a classic cheeseburger can be yours for 25 cents on February 18.
Meanwhile, McDonald's is introducing a few new menu items this year — and one of them is vegan-friendly.
The fast-food chain is taking a stab at meatless burgers with its very own plant-based protein.
They are called the McPlant.
This could be used in burgers, breakfast sandwiches and other items — in select regions globally before a wide-scale rollout.
Ian Borden, McDonald's international president, said: "McPlant is crafted exclusively for McDonald's, by McDonald's.
"In the future, McPlant could extend across a line of plant-based products including burgers, chicken-substitutes and breakfast sandwiches."
In a blog post, McDonald's said they began testing their first plant-based burger in Canada in 2019.
It said: “Based on what we learned and an encouraging response, we're excited to give you a sneak preview of the McPlant – a delicious plant-based burger crafted for McDonald's, by McDonald's, and with the kind of craveable McDonald's flavor our customers love."
