- Teaching Regulation Agency heard he would stroke girls’ hair and discuss sex life
- He also told one of his female pupils that you ‘have to be good at oral for this job’
A teacher who kicked a schoolgirl he branded ‘f****** ugly’ has been banned from classrooms for life.
Essex teacher Paul Kaufman also asked the youngster to reveal her stomach as he exposed his own and revealed during a class discussion on eyebrows: ‘I prefer my women fully waxed’.
The 45-year-old’s career was today in tatters after a misconduct hearing was told the full extent of his shameful behaviour at an Essex school.
The Teaching Regulation Agency heard how Kaufman would stroke girls’ hair and discuss his own sex life.

As well as calling one schoolgirl ‘f****** ugly,’ he also told her that you ‘have to be good at oral for this job’.
On another occasion, he remarked: ‘Girls who chew him don’t have standards,’ and asked another girl to buy him tobacco.
Concerns were raised with the school by a pupil’s mum in March last year and an investigation was launched.
One girl told the school’s headteacher that Kaufman ‘is so sexual you believe everything he says is going to be rude’.
Kaufman resigned before he could be dismissed.
But he admitted that kicking the schoolgirl was ‘one of the most stupid things’ he had ever done.
Kaufman was banned from teaching indefinitely after being found guilty of gross misconduct.
TRA chair Ann Walker revealed Kaufman had been responsible for child protection at the school and was a former assistant head in the past.
She said: ‘As such he must have been aware of fundamental safeguarding practices.
‘Despite this knowledge, he breached the boundaries that must exist between teachers and pupils and his conduct was contrary to all safeguarding protocols.’

Enforcing the ban, Alan Meyrick, on behalf of education secretary Damian Hinds, added: ‘In my judgement the lack of insight means that there is some risk of the repetition of this behaviour and this risks the future well-being of pupils.’
The headteacher of the school said: ‘The wellbeing of our students is always our highest priority.
‘Mr Kaufman resigned from [the school] in April 2017, and we are aware of the judgement which prohibits Mr Kaufman from teaching indefinitely.’
