Giant knives have been found hidden in ketchup-covered bread rolls in a sinister attempt to injure innocent dogs at a park.
Baps stowed around a park in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire could have seriously hurt pooches sniffing out food as sharp utensils were sliced through the middle.
The grim discovery was made by a shocked dog walker, Jasmine Amber, who posted a video on Instagram of three loafs each with a dagger stabbed in the centre.
Ketchup appears to have been smeared across the rolls in a bid to make them more enticing for hungry pups, Birmingham Live reported.
Cheltenham Borough Council and the police are aware of the shocking find in Pittsville Park and are reportedly stepping up their presence in the area.
In her post, Jasmine wrote: "In Pitville Park today by a tree I found these. My dogs are gannets and were SO CLOSE to grabbing one.
"Be careful letting your dogs loose especially in public places as there are some very inconsiderate ****** out there that would happily endanger the life of an animal or person, easily a child.
"Feel free to share to spread the warning."

She ended the post with the hashtags "idiots" and "animal cruelty".
Adam Reynolds, green space manager at the council, said: "We were made aware of this incident yesterday and we are working with the police and partners to increase vigilance in the area.
"It’s important to ensure that Cheltenham continues to be a safe place to live, work and visit."
Gloucestershire Police said: "We are aware of the social media post showing knives that were found at Pittville Park and officers have been conducting additional patrols in the area.
"We would encourage anybody finding knives which have been discarded in this manner to report it to police.
"It can be done either through the website or on 101."
