A 71-year-old man was killed in a suspicious house fire on Long Island Wednesday morning, police said.

Frank Holecek was the only person inside 5 Mildred Place in Hampton Bays when the fire broke out around 9:50 a.m., fully engulfing the home, according to police.

He was pulled out of the home by the Hampton Bays Fire Department and taken to an area hospital, cops said.

“Sadly, Mr. Holecek did not survive,” the Southampton Police Department said in a press release.

The raised ranch-style home was “fully engulfed” in flames when police arrived, the release said.

The Suffolk County Police Arson Squad has been requested to look further in to the cause of the fire, cops said.
