Fans of the huge Paramount drama have yet to be given an update on when new episodes could start rolling out after its blistering fourth season concluded in the new year. Thankfully, Yellowstone executive producer David Glasser has the latest on where John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner) and his dysfunctional ranch family are headed next.

Yellowstone EP David hinted a new season of the Paramount staple could hit screens later this year.

More and more viewers have been tuning in to the sprawling modern Western series each year to see the saga of the Dutton family play out.

A massive 9.3 million fans watched the latest finale, which capped off a divisive yet thrilling new instalment in January.

The show’s steadily growing audience will undoubtedly be eager to know when the show will next appear.

Speaking recently with Variety, David confirmed production is expected to get started again in May, with the first episode premiering in the autumn.

As season four began in November 2021, fans could expect to see a similar release date for the 2022-23 run of the series.

David also shared some insight into where showrunner Taylor Sheridan is at with the show’s evolution so far.

“It’s the prime of the show,” David said of season four.

“[It’s] still maturing, and there’s still a lot of story to tell.”

Season four wrapped up with Jamie (Wes Bentley) potentially making a huge mistake by agreeing to his sister Beth’s (Kelly Reilly) terms and killing his biological father.

With Garrett Randall (Will Patton) out of the picture, could another rival emerge to challenge the Duttons’ to their stake in the most coveted ranch in America?

Plus, Caroline Warner (Jacki Weaver) is still expected to return with the full force of Market Equities behind her to take revenge on Beth’s underhand schemes.

Thankfully, David has full confidence in Taylor’s ability to deliver another gripping season of the show.

The writer and director is reportedly already deep into the scripts for the next 10 episodes of Yellowstone.

“I know with Taylor, he’s got a lot to say and a lot to write,” the producer explained.

David then confirmed: “He’s deep into season five of Yellowstone now.

“He’s got some incredible ideas that he shared that I think audiences are going to be really excited about.”

If season four is anything to go by, the future of Yellowstone is looking bright, with even more family intrigue, secrets and twists still to come.

And if that isn’t enough, prequel series Y: 1883 and upcoming spin-off 6666 are only just getting started on Paramount.

Yellowstone seasons 1-4 are available to stream on the Paramount Network in the USA now. A UK release date is yet to be announced.
