Who Killed Sara? season two is on the way to Netflix and fans are still no closer to finding out who murdered the title character. The first series saw Sara’s (played by Ximena Lamadrid) brother Alex (Manolo Cardona) imprisoned after he was wrongly accused of her murder. He made it his mission to track down the real killer, but fans have suggested she may have survived the seemingly fatal accident after spotting a potentially key clue.

Did Sara survive the parasailing fall?

The first season of Who Killed Sara? included flashbacks of the last day Sara was seen alive by her friends and family.

She had been parasailing on a lake with Alex and some of their friends when her parachute failed to open properly and she plummeted into the water.

A knife was then seen falling to the bottom of the lake, which suggested someone had tampered with her parachute.

Her death was made to look like an accident, but Alex was convinced someone had set her up.

Some fans have suggested Sara survived the incident after all after they spotted a clue in her diary.

Medium.com said: “I realised the ultimate plot twist by looking at the dates on Sara’s journal that depicts events taking place in 2001.

“We know from Sara’s tombstone that she was born March 27, 1984, and that she died on August 9 (the year is blurred); however, we know it’s 2001.

“Looking at Sara’s Journal, the last two entries are dated August 20 and August 29.

“Assuming Sara penned the last pages of the notebook, the parasailing fall wasn’t fatal.

“If we look attentively at the tombstone, Sara’s mother dies March 28 (again, the year is blurred), on the following day to Sara’s anniversary, presumably in 2002. A big coincidence, isn’t it?”

The fan went on to suggest how Sara was suffering from depression as she was unhappy with her life.

They said it is likely she was rescued from the water following the fall, which means she did not die on August 9.

She was known to have been pregnant at the time, which poses the question of what happened to her child.

Some fans have suggested Bruno (Iñaki Godoy) is Sara’s son, making Cesar (Ginés García Millán) his real father.

The theory Sara may still be alive has also been suggested, as a dead body is yet to be seen.

There is also the suggestion she took her own life as a result of her depression.

A final theory suggests Cesar shot Sara in the head after a skeleton was found with a bullet hole in the skull.

Hopefully, the second season will continue to shed light on Sara’s personal life and the struggles she faced.

When fans saw Sara’s ‘body’ at the hospital, they were only able to catch a glimpse of someone’s corpse in a plastic bag.

Sara’s face was never shown, which suggests her death did not play out as fans expected.

Season two is being released on May 19 and fans are struggling to contain their excitement.
