Although best known for his music career, Olly has starred in a number of film and television roles over the years, including the likes of Gulliver’s Travels (2010),  Great Expectations (2012) and The Riot Club (2014).

Omari Douglas as Roscoe Babatunde

He is portrayed by newcomer Omari Douglas, with It’s A Sin marking his television debut.

Callum Scott Howells as Colin Morris-Jones

Newcomer Callum Scott Howells plays Colin Morris-Jones, a quiet, unassuming, boy from Wales, about to become an apprentice on Savile Row.

He lives in digs in suburban Elstree and he’s about to start his new job in a tailor’s, though he yearns for more fun.

Like Douglas, the series is his television debut.

Lydia West as Jill Baxter

Lydia West portrays Jill Baxter, Ritchie’s friend from college, who is straight-talking, funny, and the rock on which they rely.

She’s the boys’ biggest confidant, even if that means keeping some terrible secrets.

Lydia previously starred in Davies’ dystopian sci-fi series Year And Years in 2019, where she played Stephen and Celeste’s older daughter Bethany Bisme-Lyons.

Nathaniel Curtis as Ash Mukherjee

Ash Mukherjee is a clever and thoughtful drama student at University, aiming to be a teacher… but it’s just before the school system introduces Section 28.

Keeley Hawes as Valerie

Valerie tries to be kind, polite and happy, but life’s got a few surprises in store for her.

Hawes is no stranger to television, having starred in Jed Mercurio’s Bodyguard and Line Of Duty and The Durrells.

Shaun Dooley as Clive

He also narrates SAS: Who Dares Wins on Channel 4.

Neil Patrick Harris as Henry Coltrane

Hollywood star Neil Patrick Harris plays the elegant Henry Coltrane, who becomes Colin’s friend.

He’s senior floor staff at Culver & Hound and lives in Hackney with his boyfriend of 30 years, Juan Pablo.

‘I’m so pleased, and incredibly proud, to be a part of Russell T Davies’ new series,’ Harris enthused of his role.

‘This drama, It’s A Sin, is two things: it is an irresistible, funny, jubilant story of young people discovering their true identities and the unalloyed joy of living life to the fullest, it is also a deeply resonant exploration of a decade when so many of these lives were cut short by the devastating effects of the nascent Aids pandemic.’

He added: ‘Russell’s scripts chart the highs and lows of this time so beautifully and deftly, it’s an honour to help tell this story.’

Stephen Fry as MP Arthur Garrison

Stephen Fry takes on the part of MP Arthur Garrison, who is desperate to impress Margaret Thatcher while keeping his personal life well-hidden.

Fry’s movie roles include portraying Oscar Wilde in the 1997 film Wilde, Inspector Thompson in Gosford Park (2001) and Master Of Lake-town in The Hobbit films.

He has also lent his voice to a number of audiobooks, such as the Harry Potter series and Sherlock Holmes.

Tracey Ann Oberman as Carol Carter

She’s played by Tracey Ann Oberman, who has appeared in EastEnders as Chrissie Watts and Friday Night Dinner as Val.

It’s A Sin airs tonight at 9pm on Channel 4 with the entire box set available to stream on All 4.
