What's on TV tonight? Shows to watch on Saturday 9 June from Trooping the Colour to Take me Out: Over 50s Special
Trooping the Colour, 10.30am, BBC One
You’ll remember the Queen’s birthday celebrations back in April, when she turned 92.
Today is her second birthday, the official birthday of the British Monarch that has been celebrated for over 260 years.
It’s marked by a stunning military parade live in London (if you’ve already missed out, watch the highlights later at 7.30pm on BBC2).
This year, it’s the turn of the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards to display their regimental flags, before the Royal family continue the celebrations at Buckingham Palace with a balcony appearance and RAF flypast.
Take Me Out: over 50s Special, 8pm, ITV
Host Paddy McGuinness works his magic on 30 “golden girls” – older women who are looking for love.
But these ladies are no tame spinsters – the line-up includes an ex of Jason Statham.
Let the cougars see the prey!
Will they likey any of the three men they meet?
Germaine Bloody Greer, 9pm, BBC Two
After nearly 50 years in the spotlight as a feminist, Germaine Greer (above) talks about her career that began in 1970 with her book The Female Eunuch.
Archive footage and a groovy soundtrack support this look back at wild times.
Germaine also brings us up to date with her views on the #MeToo movement against sexual harassment.
The Best of The Voice Worldwide, 12.15pm, ITV
It started eight years ago as The Voice Of Holland, with its blind auditions, battle rounds and coaches (not judges, we’ll have you know).
Since then, 332 singers have won the show in its 129 regions around the world, including the US, where Kelly Clarkson (below) is a coach.
This two-parter, which continues tomorrow, showcases the talent we haven’t seen in the UK.
Blackadder’s 35th Birthday, from 7.30pm, Gold
For a weekend in celebration of Edmund Blackadder, Baldrick and co, Gold’s cunning plan is to show some favourite episodes from all four series, plus documentaries including Blackadder’s Most Cunning Moments tonight and Blackadder Exclusive: The Whole Rotten Saga tomorrow.
A lot of fun.
