Dear Coleen, I’m a man aged 25 and have been with my girlfriend for six years and we have a four-year-old daughter together. The pregnancy…
Sisters Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) and Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) could be ripped apart forever in Emmerdale as their relationship ends up in tatters following the death of their dad Frank Clayton (Michael Praed). Tracy had been trapped in the burning factory when heroic Frank raced to the rescue and saved her from the flames.
He later emerged, having gone back in to retrieve an engagement ring for Megan Macey (Gaynor Faye) but he took the full force of the explosion and was killed. When Vanessa realised that Tracy was in the factory waiting for a bunk up with Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle), she was disgusted. And the pair are set to be divided even further as Tracy is left isolated trying to clear Frank’s name.
Thanks to Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) diverting the attention elsewhere and onto ex-con Frank himself, many believe that he was up to no good in the factory given that he had just been given the sack and had had cross words with Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson). But Tracy refuses to believe ill of her reformed father. Vanessa, on the other hand, doesn’t share her confidence.
A tough day looms as Frank’s funeral arrives and Tracy spends her time trying to convince everyone that Frank is totally innocent. She even rocks Megan’s whole world by presenting the ring box he went in to collect and Megan dissolves into tears before making a major decision about her future in the village that has brought her so much pain.
But Tracy is crushed when Vanessa doesn’t stand by her side and defend their deceased dad. Can anything she says change everyone’s mind that Frank wasn’t the rogue they are painting him as?
Could Megan lend her support to Tracy’s argument after discovering the true reason that Frank braved the flames for a second time?
