The off-screen antics of The Only Way is Essex stars seem to be more dramatic than the on-screen action these days, seeing as two cast members have just been involved in a heated row on a night out.
A spokesperson for the show has confirmed to Digital Spy that Jon Clark has been suspended from TOWIE, following a report in The Sun that he clashed with co-star James ‘Diags’ Bennewith at a Newcastle nightclub.
Bennewith’s representatives didn’t comment to the newspaper, but Clark’s spokesperson acknowledged the incident and said that the two TOWIE stars got into an argument over a woman.

“[This woman] was in the club and Jon confronted Diags about [their dispute]. They got into a row in the club,” Clark’s representative told the publication.
“Jon is going through a lot of stuff in his personal life at the moment and wants to take a break from being on the show to focus on his family and helping his sister with her daughter, as well as his business Essex Tints.
“This has been in discussion with the show for some time now and is part of a wider plan for Jon.”
Apparently, cameras were not rolling during the confrontation so any drama will seemingly remain off-screen. Clark is far from the first TOWIE cast member to be suspended from the reality show.
Dan Osborne is probably the most high-profile TOWIE star to have been punished over the media storm that ultimately landed him in the Celebrity Big Brother house, but Mario Falcone, James Argent, Jessica Wright and Lucy Mecklenburgh have also been penalised in the past.
The Only Way is Essex airs on ITVBe.
