With the UK half term now over, Holly Willoughby, 39 and Phillip Schofield, 58, returned to ITV’s This Morning on Monday after taking a break.…
This Morning viewers were far from impressed by the Live audience version of the show filmed in Birmingham, due to sound issues.
The show is always live, but each year the team heads to the NEC Birmingham venue to film the daytime show in front of crowds.
Thursday’s episode began with Holly and Phil hosting, speaking to the audience and their guests, before panning back to the studio in London for the normal show, hosted by Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes.
But the first few minutes of the show left several viewers watching at home unimpressed, after they noticed issues with the part of the show filmed live in Birmingham.
From being unable to hear the crew talking to being left “dizzy” by the camera work, fans took to Twitter to share their disapproval.
Holly and Phil were speaking with guests including Alison Hammond, The Speakmans and Lisa Snowdon, but fans could barely hear.
Not all the microphones appeared to be working straight away, so when the guests spoke only those at the venue could hear those talking.
Taking to Twitter, one annoyed viewer said: “FFS #thismorning sort your microphones out.”
Another agreed: “The mics are crap. Whoever paid to go and see this must be mad.”
A third commented: “Sack the sound guy,” as a fourth added: “Sound quality is s**t.”
Meanwhile, others couldn’t get on board with the camera work, as the footage panned across the venue and around the stage.
One fan wrote: “The camera man is making me dizzy and I keep thinking I’m going deaf with the mics.”
Another admitted: “What's up with this camera, how many angles are you going to cut to, I’m getting dizzy.”
This Morning airs weekdays and Sundays at 10:30am on ITV.
