X Factor has left fans completely shocked when the 12 performances from Saturday night were replayed in Sunday night’s show.
All performances are being reshown after Saturday’s episode, but the show will still end with the vote-off and guest performances as usual, in a jam-packed episode.
But the changes left many fans wondering what happened to cause this, and why the acts were shown again after the episode on Saturday.
This comes after a major sound blip ruined the performances of Danny Tetley and Anthony Russell, with fans commenting on how their voices sound like “Daleks.”
The show announced it would not open the voting on Saturday night, but those opened on Sunday instead to give all the acts a chance to dazzle on the stage, giving each act a fair chance.
An X Factor rep told MirrorOnline: “Each of last night’s performances from our 12 contestants will be played out in full on tonight’s X Factor before the public vote opens," said a rep for the show.
"This follows the sound issues on part of last night’s show.
As Saturday’s show was pre-recorded, to give Robbie Williams time to head off to South America for his tour dates, there was no way to rectify the sound quality as the show was broadcast, meaning Dermot O’Leary even announced the lines had been opened.
The guest performers, Liam Payne, Jonas Blue, Lennon Stella and James Arthur, will perform as usual, along with the double elimination and sing-off.
The X Factor returns next Saturday at 8.30pm on ITV.
