In a new episode of the hit FOX singing competition series, Harp, Lambs and Snowstorm participate in the first three-way battle before two of them are sent to the Finals.
AceShowbiz -“The Masked Singer” returned for the second time this week for “Battle of the Semi Finals”. In the Thursday, November 24 episode, Harp, Lambs and Snowstorm took part in a three-way battle before two of them would be sent to the Finals.
Harp kicked off the Thanksgiving Day episode. In her clues, she noted that she’s “so grateful to be here because I’ve always been a fan of the show.” She also thanked her mom, saying, “Thank you mom, for being such a great example in my life and being my best friend. I love you.”
That night, Harp belted out “About Damn Time” by Lizzo. Nicole Scherzinger called it the best performance of the entire season, while Jenny McCarthy dubbed her an icon. A photo of Oprah Winfrey was brought to the stage by a turkey as an additional clue. Ken Jeong guessed Jennifer Hudson, Jenny named Jordin Sparks and Nicole mentioned Amber Riley.
Following it up was Snowstorm. In her clue package, she said she always dreamed of being a pop star when she was a child, but her voice teacher told her mom that she didn’t “have it.” She added, “That was the day my dream died. That’s why I’m very thankful I’m still here on this show.” She also hinted at being an actress as the video featured a cinema ticket.
For the Semi Finals, Snowstorm sang “Thinking of You” by Katy Perry. After the performance, Jenny said that Snowstorm “blew us away.” Robin Thicke added that it was her “best vocal performance.” For an additional clue, a Thanksgiving Day parade walked out with a balloon sign that said “Squiggly.” Robin guessed Whitney Cummings, Jenny thought she could be Nikki Glaser, while Ken believed she was Kristen Wiig.
Lambs later hit the stage to perform “Need You Now” by Lady A (Lady Antebellum). In their clue package, they said, “On this Thanksgiving, there’s nothing we’re more thankful for than each other.” A couple visual clues in the package also included an “International Platinum Class Ticket.”
Lambs showcased amazing harmonies throughout their performance. The wacky turkey then returned to the stage to bring a plaque that read “REUNION.” Nicole thought Lambs could be All Saints, Ken guessed Spice Girls, and Robin mentioned Wilson Phillips.
It was then time for the first ever three-way Battle Royale in which they performed their own unique take on “Since U Been Gone” by Kelly Clarkson. The two acts advancing to the finale were Harp and Lambs, meaning that Snowstorm was eliminated.
For the final guesses, Robin went with Whitney Cummings and Nicole guessed Iliza Shlesinger. Meanwhile, Ken and Jenny stuck with their initial guesses which were Kristen Wiig and Nikki Glaser respectively. Jenny was right because Snowstorm was revealed to be comedian Nikki Glaser!
