The Chase's Bradley Walsh bangs head on table and cries 'what's wrong with you?' after contestant blunder

THE Chase's Bradley Walsh hit his head on the table in disbelief and cried "What's wrong with you?" after a contestant got a question wrong during yesterday's instalment of the show.

Primary school teacher Hollie was the last player to take on The Governess AKA Anne Hegerty in the cash builder round.

Bradley was convinced that her job would give her an advantage and she'd have a "broad church of knowledge".

All seemed well at the start of the round until the last question about a very well known biologist was asked.

The host asked: "Shrewsbury hosts a February festival named after which naturalist?”

A confident Hollie replied: "Erm, Attenborough."

Bradley shouted: "Nooo!"

And the correct answer soon popped into Hollie's head as the klaxon for the end of the round went off.

She shouted: "Darwin!"

In pure frustration Bradley banged his head on the table and said to Hollie: "Charles Darwin!"

Her teammate Dave added that the naturalist was born in Shrewsbury.

Bradley joked: "It’s no good bringing that knowledge to the game now!

"What's wrong with you?!"

Despite Hollie's huge mistake, Bradley was so impressed with her teammate Lynne that he offered her a job on the show.

The presenter insisted that she should become a Chaser after she made Anne squirm during a tricky round.

After correctly answering a difficult question about the human body, Bradley leaned forward in amazement.

"Do you wanna job, Lynne?" he asked her.

Blushing slightly, Lynne replied: "Yeah, go on!"

Fans of The Chase were equally as impressed, with many praising her efforts on Twitter.

One tweeted: "Ooh Lynn knows her stuff. She could’ve gone for the 40k and took on the final chase on her own and win I reckon #thechase."

Another added: "Lynn’s a machine! #TheChase."

Agreeing with Bradley, a third chimed in: "Lynn could be a chaser."

The Chase continues weekdays, 5pm, ITV1
