The Chase viewers in awe over Jenny Ryan’s ‘gorgeous’ Christmas transformation

The Chase’s Jenny Ryan surprised viewers with a new look on the show’s Christmas special.

Known for her red hair, full fringe and cat-eye glasses, Jenny, 39, appeared on the show with a new hair colour and contact lenses.

As she sat down, The Chase’s well-loved host Bradley Walsh was quick to compliment Jenny on her appearance.

“Wow, look at you!”, he said. “Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan. You look lovely!”

The Chase live audience evidently agreed with Bradley as they cheered and applauded the 39 year old.

Viewers of the show also took to social media to share their thoughts on how fabulous Jenny looked.

One person penned: “Crikey! Jenny looks red hot tonight. I’m in love.”

“Jenny is looking hotter than a pistol – what a lovely outfit”, said someone else.

Someone else echoed similar sentiments writing: “Wow! Jenny 'The Vixen' is looking HOT on #thechase”.

Jenny debuted her new look before the episode aired, and people were equally as complimentary.

“You have made my Christmas – absolutely beautiful,” replied one person to the photo, as others branded the 39 year old as “stunning” and “sensational.”

Jenny typically keeps her private life to herself, but spoke out about being “fat shamed” by the doctor last month.

Taking to social media, The Chase star wrote: “Isn't modern life great? Your GP can now fat-shame you over the phone, so you don't have to waste time travelling and sitting in a waiting room before being made to feel awful about your own existence!"

Further detailing her encounter with her GP, Jenny added: “Do you know your current weight?… Oh… That's *significantly* lower than last time, well done. Not good enough though, is it?"

Jenny stars on the chase alongside Mark Labbet, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha and Darragh Ennis and, while all of them are undeniably competitive, apparently there’s no rivalry between the Chasers themselves.

She told OK! earlier this year: “We’re in a very unique position. There’s nobody else in the country apart from the six of us who has our job. So we have to look after each other.”

Jenny also described the team as being “like a family who support each other”.
