During Big Brother 20, Fessy Shafaat was made to look like JC Mounduix’s “big dumb puppet” as the former football player seemingly never knew what was going on in the game. While he claims the edit made him look a certain way, many fans disagree.
Fessy Shafaat debuted on ‘Big Brother 20’
In 2018, former football player Fessy Shafaat competed on Big Brother 20 as part of the doomed FOUTTE alliance.
Known for chasing eventual showmance, Haleigh Broucher, the Florida native seemingly had no idea what was happening in the game and rarely knew who the majority planned on evicting.
Additionally, his close ally JC Mounduix duped him several times, once convincing him to use his Head of Household reign to evict a number from his dwindling alliance, Scottie Salton.
The following week, he was betrayed by houseguests he thought he aligned with who nominated him alongside his girlfriend. Fessy was evicted and failed to win the comeback challenge, becoming the third member of the jury.
Fessy began competing on ‘The Challenge’
A year later, the former collegiate athlete debuted on The Challenge: Total Madness as a serious contender and formidable rookie. After ending three-time winner Jordan Wiseley’s streak by eliminating him before the finals, Fessy went on to win two daily missions to keep himself safe.
The Florida native couldn’t navigate the snowy finals well, resulting in a fourth-place finish. He then returned for Double Agents, immediately paired with veteran Aneesa Ferreira who picked him after winning the first daily mission.
However, he didn’t want her as a partner as he didn’t think she possessed the endurance he felt is needed to compete.
Therefore, he switched partners after earning his gold skull. But, she quickly snatched him back after winning her elimination.
Fessy called his ‘Big Brother’ portrayal ‘misleading’
Following the Feb. 10 episode, a follower claimed they didn’t think the reality star was a “moron” as Zingbot suggested during his Big Brother 20 roast. The collegiate football player responded, “Oh, that Big Brother edit was misleading as f**k. It’s taking some of y’all two years to realize.”
One follower who claimed they watched the Live Feeds noted Fessy did repeatedly fall for JC’s game, denying the edit portrayed him in a certain way. Another pointed out that he never knew who was actually in his alliance or playing him during the game.
Many believe his gameplay to evict Scottie during his reign classifies him as one of the dumbest moves made in the show. One user responded to him asking for one “smart and strategic” decision he made during the season.
Fessy answered that he guaranteed he would compete in a Power of Veto competition by promising both nominees he would save them if they selected him as houseguest’s choice.
He also explained that he correctly answered all the memory questions, won the POV, and ensured his safety so he couldn’t get named a replacement nominee.
While a few followers gave him his props, some still think his other bad decisions outweighed the move. The Challenge 36 airs Wednesdays at 8/7 Central on MTV.
