Strictly Come Dancing has launched the careers of many professionals dancers over the past 17 years, with many going on to become television personalities after quitting the BBC programme. This year, there are 18 members of the professional cast, with just 15 of them taking to the stage to perform with the celebrities. They are often matched with the contestants due to being a similar height and below, you can find a list of all their measurements and discover just how tall each one is.

How tall are the Strictly Come Dancing professionals?

Oti Mabuse

Two-time Glitterball champion Oti Mabuse is one of the most beloved members of the professional cast and she joined the show in 2015.

This year, she has been partnered with former Rugby Union player, Ugo Monye.

With regards to her height, the professional dancer is five foot and three inches tall, which equates to 1.63 metres.

It was announced in 2019, her older sister, Motsi Mabuse, would be taking over the role of a judge from Dame Darcey Bussell, with the Mabuse sisters having both previously starred in the German edition of Let’s Dance.

Since she joined the BBC show, Oti has gone on to appear in several other programmes, including being a judge on The Greatest Dancer, The Masked Dancer and most recently, Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK.

Dianne Buswell

This year, the Australian-born professional dancer has been coupled up with comedian Robert Webb and so far, the pair have managed to avoid the dance-off.

With regards to her height, the dancer comes in at just five foot three inches, or 1.6 metres, making her the shortest female professional.

Dianne is yet to take the title of champion, despite being a member of the professional cast since 2017.

The closest she came was when she was partnered with a contestant, who is now her boyfriend, YouTuber Joe Sugg when they finished second in 2018.

Karen Hauer

Unfortunately, despite her best efforts, the Venezuelan-born professional dancer has yet to get her hands on the Glitterball trophy.

For this year’s competition, she has been coupled with actor and producer, Greg Wise, with the pair defying the odds to remain in the competition.

In terms of Karen’s height, the dancer is five foot and four and three-quarters tall, which equates to 1.63 metres.

Katya Jones

Having joined the show in 2016, the Russian-born dancer had success quite quickly as, during her second season, she won with Holby City actor, Joe McFadden.

She also made history last year when she partnered with Olympic boxer, Nicola Adams as part of the first-ever same-sex couple to feature in the competition.

When it comes to her height, Katya stands at five feet and five inches tall, or 1.68 metres.

This year, she has been partnered with another sportsperson as she is teaching Olympic gold-medal-winning swimmer Adam Peaty how to dance.

Nadiya Bychkova

The Ukrainian-Slovenian-born dancer is one of the tallest females to participate in the show and she has been since joining the cast in 2017.

With regards to Nadiya’s height, the professional dancer stands at five feet and eight inches tall, or 1.72 metres.

This year, she has been coupled up with BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker and she is hoping to win the title of champion for the first time ever.

Aljaz Skorjanec

Aljaz is one of the most beloved dancers on the show, having joined the cast in 2013 alongside his wife, Janette Manrara.

During his first year on the programme, he won the competition with model Abbey Clancy but has failed to win it again since.

He stands as one of the tallest male dancers on the show as he comes in at six feet or 1.83 metres in height.

This year, he is partnered with Dragons’ Den star, Sara Davies and the pair are impressing the judges week on week.

Kai Widdrington

New to the cast this year, Kai is has managed to land himself the title of being the tallest male dancer on the show.

At six foot and one inch tall, or 1.88 metres in height, the professional dancer tends to tower above his co-stars.

This year, he is partnered with television presenter AJ Odudu and the pair are looking like one of the couples to beat.

Johannes Radebe

Since joining the cast in 2018, Johannes has won over the hearts of the nation and after originally joining as a support dancer, he has been paired with three celebrities since.

This year, he is making history by being one half of the first-ever same-sex male partnership on the show after being coupled with baker John Whaite.

He is also incredibly tall as the professional dancer stands at six feet tall exactly or 1.83 metres.

Graziano Di Prima

Graziano made his debut as part of the professional cast in 2018 when he was partnered with radio presenter, Vick Hope.

After being a support dancer for the past two years, this time around he is hoping to win gold with Loose Women star, Judi Love.

It is quite clear he towers about his partner though as the professional dancer is five foot and 11 inches tall or 1.8 metres.

Gorka Marquez

Unfortunately for Gorka, he has already been knocked out of the competition this year after he and former Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn were voted off second.

The professional dancer joined the cast in 2016 and has come second twice, once with Alexandra Burke and again last year with EastEnders actress, Maisie Smith.

With regards to his height, the professional dancer stands at five feet and six inches or 1.68 metres, making him the shortest male dancer.

He is now in a relationship with former Strictly contestant, Gemma Atkinson, and the couple have a daughter together.

Neil Jones

Despite trying his very hardest to win the title of champion, Neil was knocked out first this series when he was partnered with former EastEnders actress, Nina Wadia.

He joined the professional cast in 2016 but over the course of the last five years, he has only had a celebrity partner twice.

Before Nina, he was coupled up with former professional football player Alex Scott but he also had to take some time out of the competition during this time as he suffered an injury.

Neil stands at five foot and nine inches tall, or 1.75 metres.

Nancy Xu

Nancy has been a member of the professional cast for three years, having made her debut on the show in 2019 which was the last post-pandemic version of the show to air.

This year, she has been partnered with her first celebrity in CBBC presenter Rhys Stephenson.

With regards to her height, the Chinese-born professional comes in at five foot and six inches tall, or 1.7 metres.

Giovanni Pernice

The Italian-born professional is seen as a heartthrob by many of the show’s viewers and has captured the hearts of the nation since joining the cast in 2015.

He is yet to win the title but has come close a staggering three times as he has placed second with former Coronation Street actress Georgia May Foote, Debbie McGee and Steps star, Faye Tozer.

This year, he has been partnered with the show’s first-ever deaf contestant and EastEnders actress, Rose Ayling-Ellis.

In terms of how tall he is, Giovanni stands at five foot and eight inches, or 1.78 metres.

Nikita Kuzmin

Making his debut on the show this year, Nikita is hoping to win the title with chef and television personality, Tilly Ramsay.

The pair have impressed with their routines so far but it is yet to be seen if they can make it all the way to the final.

As a newcomer to the cast, he is one of the tallest as he stands at five foot and nine inches tall, or 1.79 metres.

Amy Dowden

Completing the professional line-up this year is Welsh-born dancer Amy Dowden, who is partnered up with McFly band member, Tom Fletcher.

Unfortunately, the pair had to miss out on week two of this year’s competition after testing positive for coronavirus after the first show.

They were back on form on Saturday night, however, and with regards to her height, the professional stands at five foot and nine inches tall, or 1.79 metres.
