Young Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) will continue to struggle with losing his mum in Coronation Street as her funeral approaches.
Since Natasha’s death, Sam hasn’t been able to process his emotions.
Nick (Ben Price) has desperately attempted to support Sam, but the young lad understandably isn’t coping and is currently experiencing mutism because of the extreme trauma.
Coming up, Sam puts his best suit on for his mum and slips his hand into Nick’s as they watch the funeral cars approach.
Nick squeezes Sam’s hand tightly, both devastated.
Later, with the funeral over, the mourners gather in the bistro to say farewell to Natasha.
Sam silently hands Nick a piece of paper on which he’s written a eulogy to his mum.
The next day, after a zoom with Dr Gaddas, Nick and Leanne (Jane Danson) learn that Sam is being referred to the Mental Health Service for talking therapy.
Sam is really struggling, but will the therapy help?
Could Sam realise how beneficial it is to talk about his feelings?
